How the licence works — and why it's unusual
Most "pro" web tools need an account because the work happens on their servers. AI-Pix has no servers doing work, so there is nothing to log into. Your key is a small signed token: when you paste it, this page checks the signature with a public key that is part of the site itself, and stores it in your browser. From then on every tool can see you are Pro without asking anything over the network — go offline and it still works. The one network step is the first activation, which sends your key (and only your key) to ai-pix.co.uk/api/activate to confirm the purchase with Lemon Squeezy and mint the token.
Why Pro exists
Running neural networks in your browser is free for us per image — that is the whole trick — but building and maintaining the tools is not. We would rather sell batch mode to the people who need it than put trackers and ad networks on the free pages. The free tools stay free, one file at a time.
Questions
Do my images still stay on my device with Pro?
Yes — exactly as before. Pro unlocks features in the same browser-side code; there is still no upload endpoint. The only thing that ever leaves your browser is the licence key you type in, once, to our own activation endpoint, which checks it with the payment provider and hands back a signed token your browser can verify offline.
Is there an account?
No. Your key is your account. It is stored in this browser; to use Pro on another device, enter the key there too. Removing it is one click on this page.
What is the difference between lifetime and monthly?
Same features. Lifetime is one payment of £19 for this version and every update. Monthly is £4, cancel any time; the licence stops working a few days after the last paid period.
Who takes the payment?
Lemon Squeezy, as merchant of record: they handle the card, VAT and invoices, and e-mail you the licence key. We never see your card details.
Refunds?
Within 14 days, no questions — reply to the purchase e-mail or write to [email protected]. After that, monthly can simply be cancelled.
Does Pro make processing faster?
Not directly — it is the same on-device engine. Batch mode saves you the clicking; the higher limits let you feed larger images to the AI tools. Speed depends on your CPU.
Will the free tools stay free?
Yes. Every tool keeps working for free, one file at a time, at the current limits. Pro pays for the site without ads following you around.
